What is Lev Nadiv?

A system for a gabbai tzedakah office. It keeps every request, decision, DAF grant, pledge and yearly gift in one place, so the gabbai and the family always see the same picture.

Does Lev Nadiv send money?

Lev Nadiv never moves money on its own. Today it shows exactly what to enter in your DAF’s website, and a gift is marked paid only when a person confirms it. We are working with the major DAFs on direct connections, so an approved gift can be sent to the DAF in one click, always after a person approves it.

Which donor-advised funds does it work with?

All the major ones. Export a statement or report from your DAF and import it: statements from OJC, The Donors’ Fund and Pledger are read automatically, and a spreadsheet export from any other DAF can be matched to Lev Nadiv’s columns on screen and imported. Every gift is then matched to its request.

Can I bring in my past giving?

Yes. Upload your giving history from a spreadsheet (Excel or CSV), check it on screen, and import it. Past gifts then show up on each charity’s page and in the reports.

Is my data private?

Each office’s records are walled off from every other office inside the database, and only the people you add to your office can see them. Every change is recorded, and backups are encrypted every night. For families who want their data on their own server, there is the Private cloud plan.

Who in my office can see what?

You add the people who work with you and choose their role: the principal (the giver), the gabbai, or read-only. What the roles are called can be changed to fit your family.

Is it in Hebrew?

The app works fully in Hebrew and English. Every gift and request shows both its Hebrew and English date, and reports and totals can be run by Hebrew year or English year. Pledges and yearly gifts can follow either calendar, including Adar I and Adar II.

What happens on Shabbos and Yom Tov?

Lev Nadiv sends no emails or reminders on Shabbos and Yom Tov. They wait until after nightfall.

Can calls, voicemails and texts come in by themselves?

Yes, with the Phone system and email module. Requests sent by email, text or voicemail land in your request list, and voicemails are typed out in Yiddish, Hebrew or English.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. It works in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer. There is nothing to install.

How does the free trial work?

Send the trial form and we set up your office, usually the same day, for 30 days, with no card needed. When the trial ends your office stays readable and nothing is deleted; choose a plan to keep working in it.

How much does it cost?

$300 a month for one office, with everything included: the phone and email module and the DAF connection too.

Can I get my records out?

Yes. You can download your gifts and reports as a spreadsheet at any time.
